Wanyu Chung is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Birmingham and a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Her research examines how firms engage in international trade and how trade institutions and policies shape their behaviour. Her work spans international pricing and currency choice, customs intermediaries and trade facilitation, the effects of trade agreements on firms’ trading decisions, and the greening of international trade. She has led externally funded research projects supported by the ESRC, Research England, the Bank of England, and the Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy (CITP). In addition to her academic research, she serves as an ONS Fellow, advising the UK Office for National Statistics on economic measurement and data collection.
